AFRICULTURE ENTERPRISES

Company Policy

Documenting African Culture. Preserving Its Heritage.

1.About Our Policy

AFRICULTURE ENTERPRISES is a Nigerian cultural media and documentary company dedicated to documenting, preserving and promoting Africa’s cultural heritage through photography, videography, documentary filmmaking and magazine publishing.

Our policy establishes the principles governing our publications, intellectual property, content licensing, commercial partnerships and the responsible representation of African cultures.

2.Photography, Videography and Documentary Production

AFRICULTURE ENTERPRISES produces original cultural photographs, video footage, drone footage and documentary films covering African festivals, traditional ceremonies, arts, crafts, cultural personalities, historic sites and indigenous communities.

Our content is developed for editorial, educational, institutional and approved commercial applications, subject to the applicable licence and contractual terms.

3.Magazine Publishing Policy

AFRICULTURE ENTERPRISES publishes photography-led magazines and cultural publications designed to document African heritage and present authentic cultural stories to Nigerian and international audiences.

Our publications may include festival reports, historical accounts, interviews, cultural essays, original photography and documentary features.

We are committed to:

Presenting cultural information accurately and responsibly.

Respecting the traditions, dignity and identities of the communities featured.

Providing appropriate photographic credits and acknowledgements.

Correcting significant factual errors when verified.

Obtaining appropriate permissions for third-party materials where required.

Digital and printed publications may be offered for sale, subject to the terms stated for each edition.

Magazine purchase and copyright: Purchasing or downloading an AFRICULTURE magazine grants the buyer the right to read and retain the publication for personal reference, unless otherwise stated. It does not transfer copyright or grant permission to reproduce, republish, redistribute, resell, extract or commercially exploit the magazine, its photographs, text or other contents.

Institutional reproduction, educational distribution, commercial reuse and republication require separate written permission or an appropriate licence.

4.Copyright and Intellectual Property

Unless otherwise stated in a written agreement, AFRICULTURE ENTERPRISES retains copyright or the applicable rights to content it owns or is authorised to license.

All photographs, footage, documentary films, magazine layouts, written content, captions and other original materials are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

No purchase or download automatically transfers ownership of the original material.

Users may not copy, modify, redistribute, resell, upload to stock platforms, use for artificial intelligence training or commercially exploit protected content without the necessary authorisation.

Third-party content remains subject to its respective copyright and licence terms.

5.Photography and Footage Licensing Policy

AFRICULTURE ENTERPRISES licenses selected photographs and audiovisual materials under clearly stated terms inspired by established editorial and commercial licensing practices.

Editorial licensing covers approved uses in newspapers, magazines, news websites, documentary reporting, cultural publications and other qualifying editorial projects.

Commercial licensing covers approved business and promotional uses, including advertising, marketing, corporate communications, tourism campaigns and brand publications, subject to the specific licence granted.

Licensing terms may specify the permitted use, territory, duration, media, circulation, exclusivity and other relevant restrictions.

The purchase of a magazine does not include a licence to reuse its photographs or footage separately.

6.Exclusive Content Policy

Selected photographs, video footage and documentary materials may be designated as exclusive content on the AFRICULTURE ENTERPRISES website.

Exclusive content is offered for licensing under specific contractual terms. The word exclusive does not automatically mean that every licence is exclusive to the buyer.

Where exclusive rights are granted, the agreement must define the relevant material, usage, territory, duration and scope of exclusivity.

AFRICULTURE ENTERPRISES reserves the right to identify, manage and market its exclusive collection according to the rights available for each item.

7.Documentary Films and Raw Footage

AFRICULTURE ENTERPRISES may offer edited documentaries, 4K footage, drone footage and selected raw footage packages for approved professional and institutional use.

Each product listing should state its duration, format, subject, location, recording date where available, technical specifications, licence terms and price.

Access to raw footage or a documentary download does not transfer copyright or grant unrestricted editing, distribution, broadcasting or commercial exploitation rights.

Broadcasting, public exhibition, streaming, sublicensing and distribution rights must be expressly included in the applicable agreement.

8.Pricing and Payment Policy

Prices are determined by the type of content, intended use, licence scope, production value and commercial requirements.

Magazine purchase prices are separate from photograph, footage and documentary licensing fees.

Any applicable taxes, payment charges, delivery costs or additional licensing fees will be communicated where relevant.

A licence becomes effective subject to the applicable payment and agreement conditions. Payment alone does not authorise uses outside the licence granted.

9.Model Releases, Permissions and Cultural Respect

AFRICULTURE ENTERPRISES seeks to respect the privacy, dignity and rights of individuals and communities represented in its work.

Where required by law or the intended use, appropriate model releases, property permissions, location permissions or other authorisations should be obtained.

Special care will be taken when documenting sacred ceremonies, vulnerable individuals, children and culturally sensitive activities.

A model release does not automatically grant rights to third-party trademarks, artwork, property or other protected material.

10.Accuracy, Captions and Cultural Representation

AFRICULTURE ENTERPRISES is committed to responsible cultural storytelling.

Captions, publication text and documentary descriptions should be as accurate as reasonably possible, with names, dates, locations and historical details verified where practicable.

We aim to represent African communities without misleading descriptions, unnecessary distortion or disrespectful treatment of cultural traditions.

Where material corrections are necessary, AFRICULTURE ENTERPRISES may update relevant digital content or issue corrections to published material.

11.Client Agreements and Commissioned Projects

Commissioned photography, videography, documentary production and institutional assignments will be governed by written proposals, quotations or contracts.

Such agreements should establish deliverables, production schedules, fees, payment terms, permitted usage, copyright ownership, exclusivity, revisions and cancellation arrangements.

Any transfer or assignment of copyright must be expressly documented in writing.

12.Website Use and Unauthorised Reproduction

Visitors may browse the AFRICULTURE ENTERPRISES website and access content according to the applicable website and purchase terms.

Unauthorised downloading, copying, reproduction, distribution, resale or commercial use of protected content is prohibited, except where permitted by law or expressly authorised.

AFRICULTURE ENTERPRISES reserves the right to take appropriate action against infringement of its intellectual property rights.

13.Policy Updates

AFRICULTURE ENTERPRISES may revise this policy as its photography, documentary production, magazine publishing and licensing activities develop.

The current version published on the official website will serve as the reference policy, subject to applicable law and any binding agreement already in place.
